Mantra's speciality is their Northern Indian cuisine though they also have other varieties such as Thai and Western food. The chefs are from India and Thailand as this was what we have been told. Mantra was nice and pleasant, quiet enough for us since we were having an early lunch . The cascading water on the wall at one side created a wonderful ambiance. However, there isn't any chanting in the background except for pop music being played.

I decided to go for Chicken Briyani and Chicken Masala as which according to the menu is boneless cubes of chicken marinated in royal cumin enriched cream. There is also cheddar and a hint of fresh coriander. The Chicken Briyani was simply lovely . One of the best Briyani I have ever tasted in my life. It was nicely decorated by the succulent chicken being buried under the rice. The curry gravy again was lovely.

It was simply unique, it was spicy it was just so good and it was at a reasonable price. The spices that they have used were good and the chicken was cook in such a rich manner. The quality of rice was really excellent. The amount of rice was simply perfect. The dishes are prepared and presented with elegance and taste as good as they look. The amount of cultural blending going on is unique and not out of place at all.

The food is great but honestly in my opinion it is a little bit of a stretch to call it an Indian Restaurant. This is because the style is far more European than an Indian influenced. Besides that, food served like steak and carbonara are not Indian food at all. The wait service is however is below average and pretty disappointing to me. They were extremely slow to serve and replenish water and were nowhere to be found when we wanted to do some add on.
Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed the food here in Mantra and would definitely come back here again when we want something unique. We had a leisurely lunch. If you like Indian food and fusion cuisine this is where you should definitely come for a visit.
